I have already hit one convention so far this season (Days of the Dead Indianapolis) and for the first time ever I met one of my digital friends. Since I began this adventure into the digital arena I have made lots of close friends and contacts. I truly feel lucky to have made contact with the people I have so far on Twitter, Facebook, and of course via my websites and podcasts.  But there is something to be said about actually meeting someone in real life and I am proud to say I have done that. @GreyMatterSplat is someone I met on Twitter and he just so happened to be local here in Indiana. He also happened to be going to the Days of the Dead convention and we met for the first time. I enjoyed meeting him SO much that throughout the weekend I gave him possibly the 3 most manliest hugs he has ever gotten! Not only did we meet up in real life but he seems to have similar interests and he now is the proud owner of an account on this here website! Hopefully he won’t turn out like the other 15 people who have been part of GenXnerd and never once attempted a post.

I am not worried folks because not only has @GreyMatterSplat become a GenXnerd he also is going to spend the weekend at GenCon Indianapolis with me this year with our fancy high-class press passes!
